The “Silk Road Program” is part of the Chinese Government Scholarships (CGS). It is a full scholarship funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education used by selected Chinese universities to independently recruit outstanding international graduate students from countries of China’s Belt and Road initiative to study in China. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, the School of Economics is implementing the program for master’s and PhD students majoring in economics. According to the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education, our school has formulated the enrollment application method for the Chinese government scholarship “Silk Road Program”. The specific content is as follows:

II. Application requirements

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;

2. The applicant must be a national of the “Belt and Road” countries recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education;

3. Education and age requirements:

Applicants for a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35 in principle;

Applicants for a PhD degree must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40 in principle;

4. The applicant has not obtained other types of scholarships at the same time.

III. Application process

Applicants must submit all materials before May 15th, 2023. Applicants must register an account in the Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn，Type : Category B; Acceptance institution code: 10475) and in Henan University`s International Student Online Service System (http://applyonline.henu.edu.cn/member/login.do), fill in the personal information accurately, upload documents that meet the requirements, and click “submit” to complete the online application. This year’s applications are submitted online only; materials submitted via mail will not be accepted. Applicants should ensure that the materials submitted online are consistent with the original documents.
