Henan University, founded in 1912, is a national "Double First-Class" initiative university and a comprehensive university jointly built by the provincial and ministerial governments. The university comprises three campuses: the Zhengzhou Longzihu Campus, the Kaifeng Minglun Campus (featuring a modern architectural complex recognized as a National Key Cultural Heritage Site), and the Jinming Campus. Combined, these campuses cover 367 hectares.
Henan University is a comprehensive research university covering 13 academic disciplines, with 40 colleges and 93 undergraduate programs. It offers 47 master's degree programs, 24 doctoral degree programs, and 20 postdoctoral research stations. The university currently has over 50,000 full-time students and more than 4,700 faculty members, including 6 academicians and 41 national leading talents. It has established 5 national key laboratories, 3 national-local joint engineering research centers, and multiple provincial and ministerial research platforms. Additionally, 13 disciplines rank in the top 1% globally in ESI. The university's library holds 10.8 million volumes and has established cooperation with 217 universities in 45 countries and regions, publishing 18 academic journals and operating a university press.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, 31 undergraduate programs are open to international students. The undergraduate program generally lasts for 4 years (with some programs lasting 5 years). For students with Chinese as the medium of instruction, their Chinese language proficiency should reach the "International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards" or HSK Level 5 or above upon graduation. For students with English as the medium of instruction, their Chinese language proficiency should at least reach the "International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards" or HSK Level 4 or above upon graduation.
I. Application Requirements
1. Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, hold valid ordinary passports from foreign countries, and be non-Chinese citizens. The applicant’s age should generally not exceed 25 years(age calculation is based on September 1 of the year of enrollment). Applicants under 18 years old must provide proof of guardianship. 2. Applicants should have completed high school education or have equivalent academic qualifications.
Note: Except for the classes specifically for international students, all other majors adopt the system of placing students into existing classes.

1. Log in to Henan University's online application system for international students at https://henu.17gz.org/ to register and complete the application form:
(1) Applicants must ensure all information provided is accurate and correct.
(2) Applicants should regularly check the online application system and the email addresses they provided for communication from the university.
2.Submit the following application materials in the application system:
Note: All materials uploaded through the system must be clear, authentic, and valid. Applicants will be responsible for any false, unclear, or unrecognizable document.
Upon enrollment, originals of these materials will be required for verification. The first three months after enrollment are considered the verification period. If any form of falsification is discovered during the verification, the applicant will not be registered, and fees paid will not be refunded.
Ⅴ. Review and Admission
Based on the specific situation of the applications, the university may require applicants to provide supplementary materials or undergo written or interview assessments. Applicants should closely monitor the application system and their personal email inboxes after completing the online application to promptly confirm online testing and interview notifications.
After admission decisions are released, Henan University will issue electronic admission letters and JW202 forms exclusively. The digital admission letter will be uploaded to the "Attachments" section of the International Student Online Application System in early July, while the JW202 form must be downloaded independently by applicants from a designated website as instructed in the notification. No paper-based admission documents (including JW201/JW202 forms) will be mailed.
