On the morning of April, 27^th, the fourth section of the first “Students Abroad inChina— Overseas Students Exercise inChina” Jiuzhou Competition came to an end inHuangshanUniversity, and the closing ceremony was held atHui-culture Squareof Huangshan University. Mr. Sheng Jianxue, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Communication Department, Ministry of Education; Mr. Xue Yanqing, Vice Chairman of Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and several leaders of Department of Education,AnhuiProvinceandHuangshanUniversityattended the closing ceremony.

Supported by leaders of Henan University, Physical Education College and Economics College, organized by ISCLC, the overseas students of Henan University took the third place in the fourth section of the first “Students Abroad in China — Overseas Students Exercise in China” and smoothly advanced to the final.

In the closing ceremony, the showKaifengDrumperformed byHenanUniversitystudents fromCameroon,Russia,RepublicofKorea,ThailandandMongoliapushed the ceremony to climax. Xiao Yu and Zhang Xiaoying, scholarship students fromCameroonandThailandmajoring in Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL), stood out in the competition. Judges praised the enthusiastic spirit of contestants ofHenanUniversity. It is the best grade that overseas students ofHenanUniversityhave achieved in these competitions. And other overseas students inChinahad got deeper understanding ofHenanUniversitythrough this competition, which greatly gave publicity to our university.

Based on sports events and set in Sunshine Sports program, “Students Abroad in China — Overseas Students Exercise in China” shows the healthy, confident, positive and cooperative image of overseas students in China and Chinese students, which includes 3 v 3 basketball game, traditional sport events, orienteering, talent show and so forth. Overseas students ofHenanUniversitywill take their finals at the end of May inQingdao,ShandongProvince.
